When the idea of ‘Monólogos Rosa’ was born, the initial plan was to reflect on the interviews we had already recorded and shared with you – but with a cheeky, uncensored and personal glimpse of what it was like ‘behind the scenes’.
From there, the concept of talking about more personal things, intertwining the genre of story telling with more intimate confessions and rhetorical speculations evolved into what, we hope, you are currently enjoying.
In this Monólogo we offer you a glimpse into our interview with Nick Cuthell.
Nick is a figurative painter from New Zealand who has lived in London for many years. His most recognised portraits include the one he did of Queen Elizabeth II in 2014 and the many portraits he has painted of the English actor Sir Ian McKellen.

Quando è nata l’idea dei nostri Monologhi Rosa, una delle cose che volevamo fare era riflettere sulle interviste che avevamo già condiviso, ma offrendo in questa opportunità, informazioni inedite, condite leggermente con un po’ di ‘sale e pepe’, e segreti ‘dietro le quinte’.
E da lì è nato il concetto di parlare di cose più personali, combinando il genere giornalistico con confessioni intime e speculazione retorica. Così sono diventati i monologhi che speriamo vi stiate godendo tutti.
In questo monologo presentiamo l’intervista che abbiamo fatto a Nick Cuthell.
Nick è un pittore figurativista neozelandese che vive a Londra giá da molti anni. Tra i suoi ritratti più impressionanti ci sono quello che ha fatto nel 2014 all’attuale regina Elisabetta II, e i numerosi ritratti che ha realizzato dell’attore inglese Sir Ian McKellen.

Cuando nació el concepto de nuestros Monólogos Rosa, una de las cosas que queríamos hacer era reflexionar acerca de las entrevistas que ya habíamos grabado, editado y compartido, pero ofreciéndoles información inédita, salpicada con un poco de condimento travieso y en clave ‘tras bastidores’.
De allí luego surgió la idea de hablar de cosas más personales, entrelazando el genero de la crónica, con la confesión intima y la especulación retórica. Y de allí también surgieron los Monólogos que esperamos todos estén disfrutando.
En este Monólogo les presentamos la entrevista que le hicimos a Nick Cuthell.
Nick es un pintor figurativista neozelandés que vive desde hace muchos años en la ciudad de Londres. Entre sus retratos más impresionantes cuentan el que le hiciera en 2014 a la actual reina Elizabeth II y los muchos retratos que ha hecho del actor inglés Sir Ian McKellen.
