TV Presenter | Producer | Mental Health Activist

Trisha Goddard is a queen and legend of international TV. Her career began in Australia where she quickly became the country’s first black TV presenter, though not without having to face the racial discrimination that came with this well-deserved professional breakthrough.

She began her first major international on screen venture in the UK in 1998 and has since worked on many successful shows, both as a producer and presenter. Trisha now works between the United States, the United Kingdom and, occasionally, Australia.

A journalist, producer, radio and TV presenter, long-distance runner and mother, Trisha worked with Nelson Mandela shortly after giving birth to the eldest of her two daughters. She has published several books, one of them the autobiography As I Am. She survived aggressive breast cancer and has always been a vocal advocate for outreach programmes that support anxiety, depression and other disorders associated with the mind and nervous system, in order to help fight the stigma that is still attached to mental illness.

Trisha is especially known for her work as a Talk Show host and producer and as soon as you start talking to her you can see exactly why she has been so successful in dealing on all levels with people’s traumas and conflicts. She is an accessible, open, spontaneous and thoughtful woman who immediately establishes empathy with whoever she is with. She also has the gift of easily stepping into another’s shoes, due to a lifetime of having to deal with her own extreme ups and downs.

It was not only a great pleasure to have the opportunity to talk to Trisha Goddard about her personal life and her impressive, multifaceted career, but it also confirmed to us that true stars always share their light without their brightness dimming.

And now, enjoy the interview!
